Brent Merlin Rawlings passed away peacefully at his home on July 21, 2016 in Fairview, Id. Brent was born November 30, 1943 to Merlin and Erma Rawlings in Fairview Idaho at the family home. Also in 1962 Brent met his high school sweetheart Suzanne Strong whom he later married on October 1st 1965. They had 3 children Billy, Brenda, and Russel.

Brent was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a high priest.

Brent enjoyed farming with his brother Kent and also enjoyed playing “Church Ball”. Brent was happiest hunting and spending time in the mountains. Our best to you and your family at this time. Uncle Eldon said that Brent
was a "Mans Man" after he met him.

We were so sorry to hear of Brent's passing. Dwight's mom enjoyed being your neighbor and thought a lot of you and your family. Dwight remembers playing with Brent as a kid growing up. Hugs to you and your family.

Dear Suzanne and family,

Anita and I were very saddened to learn of Brent’s passing. Inevitable, that this event will visit each of us in the course of our lives. Unknown when it will come. Sad when it does. However, it is, after all, a glorious step in our eternity. I would assume you, as a family, have gathered around each other at this very important time. That the grandchildren are being taught lessons of life and of the eternities. That memories are being shared, even with tears welling up in eyes and accompanying lumps in throats. All signs of love. It is wonderful that you are near each other to support one another and accept the great privilege and responsibility of caring for your Brent.

Years back, the day came that he, a miracle of miracles, entered into his mortality and with him came great joy and happiness for his mother and father and so many others. And thus, it has been. He has proven himself over the years as a wonderful son, a great brother, a true and faithful husband, a super dad, a loving grandfather, a kind friend and neighbor. He has a great work ethic, intellect, charisma and charm. Grace and dignity are his to claim. A stalwart in keeping the faith and progressing its cause. He has been an icon, a wonderful mentor and example of perseverance to so many. But most of all, he must be happy for the person he has become. He is the epitome of Celestial Manliness. He was, indeed, an Angel amongst us!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our memories have become vivid as we think back and remember our good friend, Brent. Bless you all!

With humble respect, Spencer & Anita Cranney . . . . . . . . . North Las Vegas, NV
